Summary: Glenn Tingley was an evangelical minister in the 1930s-1950s in Birmingham, Alabama. His literal interpretations of the Bible and rapid fire style of preaching attracted Ulyss and Pearl Caine Holliman of Irondale, Alabama. This type of religion was largely rural in nature but was embraced by migrants from rural farms to emerging urban areas in the early 20th Century. This is a sample. Support of this evangelists divided the Ulyss Holliman immediation family.
